I was recently asked to shoot products and head shots for a local award winning butchers in Kilsyth. I was lucky enough to have the use a nice big room behind the premisses which allowed me plenty of space especially for the head shots as I like to use a longer fixed focal length lens for these.

John, the main man has been at this game since he was 14 and there’s nothing he doesn’t know about the butcher industry. John was an incredible help with setting up the food as he know which vegetables went with certain types of meats, something I have hardly any understanding of!

The head shots were done using 2 lights at 45 degrees and slightly higher than the subject, I was really happy with the end results.
